Skateboards. Oh sweet jesus the skate boards are everywhere. Last year there were maybe 2 people on campus who skate boarded and you know what? That was cool. However now there are I shit you not about 35 kids out skate boarding around campus on our very narrow sidewalks. Needless to say two kids crashed and one broke his arm. At this rate I might not have to worry about this high school being here next year, all of the students will either be in jail for statutory rape or in the hospital.

Are they the longboards? There were so many kids at my college whose thought processes couldn't have been far too different from "well I'm in college, so I longboard now". There were a few who were actually really effing good at it and liked it, so I'm sure it spoiled it for them a bit. but man there were all kinds of accidents with boards flying down the street because they'd lose control. Those sons of bitches are dangerous when they're in untrained hands.

just lean in with your shoulder and drop your center of gravity- you should win every time.
Also they won't be able to complain officially as I'm sure there's some school legislature that says skateboards, rollerblades, bikes etc aren't permitted on sidewalks.

Welcome to college. My two year school didn't have much because it was 100% commuter campus, therefore small, and damn near everyone had a car. The 4 year I transferred to, skateboards everywhere. Constant wipeouts. Somewhat remarkable that they just kept at it on shitty brick sidewalks...

What do you have against longboarders brah, (insert your a stupid freshman joke here) but in all seriousness if you do it right it's a good way to get around campus.
